Livingstone is located in the Southern region of Zambia lying just north of the Zambezi River. The town is a tourist centre for those visiting Victoria Falls and is a border town with Zimbabwe on the other side. Historically a British colonial city, Livingstone was named after David Livingstone, a British explorer who was the first European to experience the area and set eyes on Victoria Falls. Not much has changed for Livingstone over the years with the main streets still lined with colonial British architecture interspersed with African designs.
